Handcrafted Humans

People helping people help themselves

Every human is handcrafted.

Built from a specific history, a specific body, a specific way of moving through the world. No two the same. No template fits. No protocol applies without adjustment.

The work of real healing — physical, structural, lived — begins where you actually are. Not where the system says you should be. Not where a thirty-day program wants you to arrive. Where your body is now, with everything it's carrying.

That's the whole thing.

The Story

I was told my body was broken.

The system agreed.

Twenty years ago, I weighed 400 pounds and walked with a cane. The doctors had their charts. The system had its verdict. I was handed a generic template and told that this was simply the reality of my situation.

I was at 300 pounds when the actual healing began. That was when I stopped listening to the templates and started looking at the root mechanics.

That kind of timeline either breaks you, or it forces you to learn something the textbooks don't cover. It taught me that the human body fundamentally wants to heal. It just needs someone who knows how to listen to it, and how to remove the friction.

Through studying the gait cycle, applying neuromuscular therapy, and dedicating a decade to rebuilding myself from the foundation up — I fixed what the system said was permanent. Today, at 60 years old, I am more mobile than most people are at 30.

I didn't do it with a 30-day program. I did it by doing the slow, deliberate work of learning how my body actually functions.

That is what I teach now. Honest work, real results, and no template that ignores who you actually are.

What I Offer

Two ways to work, one practice

The Program

GaitWay to Fitness

YOUR BODY. YOUR PACE. YOUR WAY.

A program designed to fit your personal abilities. GaitWay is built on the gait cycle — the fundamental movement pattern every human shares. We start with how your body moves, and we build from there, at your pace.

  • Quiet, one-on-one sessions — no crowds, no competing noise
  • Sensory-friendly — designed for how you actually experience the world
  • Clear structure, real flexibility — predictable format, adaptable content
  • Mobile — I come to your space, or we train outdoors in the open air

What to Expect When You Sign Up

The goal is to connect you to your body.

The first session will be focused on balance and flexibility, with mobility tests as well.

GaitWay is about moving with your body, and finding how connected you are is part of the assessment.

We will also be able to sort out what is the best way for you to find the path forward.

The Service

Deep Tissue Repair

Focused neuromuscular work for stuck tissue, guarded compensation patterns, and the kind of held tension that won't release through exercise alone. This isn't a spa massage. It goes deep, and you'll feel it for a day or two after. That's how real change happens.

  • Targeted to the body's needs
  • Designed to relieve the damage from daily life
  • Personalized to your specific need
  • Built to let your body find the way to heal

What to Expect

Wear lightweight, loose clothing.

The session is built around an assessment of where your body is, as well as what you are feeling.

The goal is to find the intersection, and let the body's relief ease the mind.

The work is often close to painful. The session will include methods for determining your pain levels.

The work will be somewhat strenuous, and you might feel it for a few days.

Stands on its own. Also available as part of GaitWay when a training client's body needs direct intervention before progress can continue.

For those the system missed

"If standard fitness spaces haven't worked for you, that's not a failure on your part. It's a design problem."

I know what it's like to be told you don't fit. To be handed a program that was built for someone else. To need something real and get something generic instead. That's not the work I do.
